El Dorado Dark
The raw material for El Dorado Dark is molasses, the residual product from the process of extracting sugar from sugar canes. Since the extracted sugar is made as pure as possible, this means that all the flavour from the sugar canes will be concentrated into the molasses. This process, in combination with the careful and delicate distillation in aged coffey stills, is the explanation to why the Demeraran rum is so rich in flavours. El Dorado Dark is a blend of freshly distilled rum and rum matured in oak casks.
Use El Dorado Dark when you require a rum with more flavours and a darker color, perhaps in a drink. This rum is also an excellent ingredient in recipes for food where rum is needed.
