Mount Gay Rum Sugar Cane Brandy

Mount Gay Sugar Cane Brandy is a blend of carefully selected rum vintages which can be up to 7 years old, which is also reflected in the characteristic taste.

However, one should not confuse this rum with the typical simple brandy, despite the name. This is a clean rum product. The name is a legacy from the time when the product contained as much double distillate that its character was very similar to a brandy. Because of legal restrictions this rum is named “Sugar Cane Rum” in certain markets.

Color

The deep, golden amber colour of Sugar Cane Brandy is wonderfully enhanced by its perfect clarity. Together they create a rare brilliant luminescence.

Fragrance

The mellow sugary aroma of the product is well-harmonized with its subtly spicy aromatic tonalities. Its oak character and its lightly smoked notes (both resulting from years of resting in charred oak barrels) add to the attractive complexity of aromas.
